{"id":3293,"date":"2023-06-01T13:56:40","date_gmt":"2023-06-01T12:56:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ladyliga.ru\/?page_id=3293"},"modified":"2023-08-03T15:55:46","modified_gmt":"2023-08-03T14:55:46","slug":"research-testimonials","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ladyliga.ru\/explore-the-issues\/our-research-and-insights\/research-testimonials\/","title":{"rendered":"Research testimonials"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\r\n<h3>Tim Caldwell, Head of Sport at the Elms Infant and Junior School<\/h3>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"levels clear-both pt-1\">\r\n<div class=\"bg-wis-white-400 inline-block\">\r\n<div class=\"w-full md:w-1\/3 md:float-left border-l border-white \">\r\n<div class=\"p-4 m-0\">\r\n<p>Tim accessed our joint research with parkrun <a href=\"https:\/\/ladyliga.ru\/resource\/case-study-why-are-women-reluctant-to-run-experiences-of-parkrun\/\">\u2018Why are Women Reluctant to Run?\u2019<\/a> He now better understands the barriers women face and is using these insights to get more girls active and playing sport at his school.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cI now feel more able to tune in to what women might be worrying about or feeling with regard to exercise and I would like to develop my new understanding further as it would help so much in my role as Head of Sport at my school.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"levels clear-both pt-1\">\r\n<div class=\"bg-wis-white-400 inline-block\">\r\n<div class=\"w-full md:w-1\/3 md:float-left border-l border-white \">\r\n<div class=\"p-4 m-0\">\r\n<h3><strong>John Boyd, CEO of Baseball Softball UK Ltd.<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>The development agency for baseball and softball in the United Kingdom, BaseballSoftball<em>UK<\/em>\u00a0(BSUK), asked Women in Sport to help them to ensure the appropriate safeguards were in place for women playing softball while pregnant.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cThe advice we received from the Research and Advice service on playing softball while pregnant helped tighten up our thinking on this issue.\u00a0It was helpful to learn that the question of discrimination hangs on health risks and that gives us the platform to make a clear statement to Leagues who blanket ban pregnant women.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>British Universities and Colleges Sport<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) have commissioned Women in Sport to run tailored workshops, develop toolkits and lead research to apply key insights so that they can better engage female students.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ladyliga.ru\/resource\/case-study-this-bucs-girl-can-getting-female-students-active\/\">This BUCS Girl Can, Getting Female Students Active.<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cWomen in Sport are an important partner of BUCS; supporting the development of opportunities for the female student community. They have presented at a BUCS development event, worked with us to create a toolkit to better engage female students and supported us in running female activator training sessions targeted at inactive students.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cWomen in Sport\u2019s wealth of expertise and insights have helped BUCS to better engage with female students.
